Smart Deionizer

sdi_spec-1_edited.jpg

SDI Principle

The principle of deionization technology is when electricity is applied to the electrode, ions of opposite charge pass through the ion exchange membrane and move to the surface of the electrode and are electrically adsorbed.

Cell Characteristic

  • Up to four cells can be configured in series, applicable to a wide range of TDS

  • Operation under stable DC voltage by using bipolar electrode (300VDC or less)

  • High recovery rate, up to 95%

  • Salt removal rate up to 95%

  • Operating temperature, max. 60℃

  • Low energy consumption due to low voltage operation

  • Electrode is not exposed to ensure electrical safety

  • Compared with other processes, the pretreatment conditions are simple and the pretreatment process cost is economical.

SDI Applications

RO concentrated water reuse system

sdi_appli-1.jpg
  • Reduce TDS of concentration water from RO process and reuse as RO feed

  • RO recovery rate can be dramatically increased.

Pure/ultrapure water system

sdi_appli-2.jpg
  • Replace No. 2 pass RO with SDI®

  • To meed EDI inflow water quality

Industrial water/effluent water reuse system

sdi_appli-3.jpg
  • In order to reuse the effluent from the RO process,

  • If the conductivity is high for feed water into the RO, use it on the front of RO

  • Applicable to low salinity/high salinity effluent water

  • Reduction of RO process load when RO process is selected as the downstream process.
